The Challenge

IRRI wanted an engaging way for congress attendees to learn about different rice varieties – beyond static posters or brochures. The exhibit needed to be intuitive, memorable, and handle hundreds of visitors.

The Solution

Built an interactive booth where physical exploration triggers digital content:

• RFID tags embedded under rice sample jars
• Sensors mounted beneath the display table
• Lifting a jar triggers a rich infographic on-screen
• Each rice variety has its own visual story – origin, nutrition, farming conditions, global impact

Visitors naturally pick up jars to examine the rice – and the screen responds instantly with relevant content. No instructions needed.
